logo design

Islington Community Theatre approached us to develop a brand which was engaging, thought-provoking and accessible. They work with a diverse range of groups throughout the London Borough of Islington and needed a logo which was not only distinctive but flexible enough to work across a wide range of media. The vivid lime green of the main logo is complimented by the shocking pink brand of sister organisation Islington Youth Theatre. Both have been applied to stationery, signage, event marketing and websites, attracting favourable reviews from members, audiences and partner organisations.

"From the very start of our relationship, Frink have been incredibly understanding, patient and perceptive in helping us to discover our visual identity. As an arts charity that works with a wide range of people from across Islington we needed an identity that was flexible, non-corporate, lively and exciting - and Frink have delivered all of those things in a really efficient, accessible and friendly way. We feel very lucky to have made the connection with them and are delighted with our branding, print design and website. We hope that we can maintain and continue to build our relationship both in the short and long term."
Ned Glasier, Director, Islington Community Theatre

Tring Park is one of the UK's leading Performing Arts schools. Formerly known as the Arts Educational School we worked with the senior management team to develop a new name, brand and communications approach. The new logo was the starting point for a design programme that included stationery, signage, marketing materials, prospectus and a new website which features a series of videos to give both prospective students and parents an overview of life at the school. We also introduced a photographic style designed to give a sense of the school's historic location as well as an insight into the lives of the young people that live and study there.

"We are delighted with the work that has been achieved by Frink Design for our major rebrand which – amongst other things - included a logo, prospectus and construction of a new school website. Throughout the 8 month period of development I found Frink to be helpful, efficient, sensitive and imaginative and the results have been received with positive enthusiasm – no mean feat when the changes that have been made have been so radical."
Miriam Juviler, Marketing Manager, Tring Park School for the Performing Arts

Limelight Sports is the UK’s leading grassroots sports marketing and event management company. They approached us as they were organising the Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon and needed some animations to bring their brand to life. We created a series of animated loops that were played throughout the day on a series of large screens, as well as supplying DVDs which incorporated the brand films into existing sponsor material.

"Working in an industry that would not ordinarily use the services of agencies such as Frink, we consider ourselves lucky to have stumbled across them. From the very first dealings that we had with this agency, we knew that we were in safe hands. A clear understanding of the brief was demonstrated throughout and this was highlighted by the end product; with which we were delighted. If we are ever in need of an animation again, we will be sure to get in touch with Frink."

Line Up approached us to consolidate their position as one of the UK's leading live events agencies with a new website. Building on their friendly and people-focussed approach to business we came up with a twin-pronged web presence. The 'hub' page draws together content from their blog, YouTube channel and Flickr photostream, as well as acting as a landing point for their client FTP site and in-depth company profile. Built in Flash, this takes their origami brand characters and animates them within the 'world of Line Up'. Fully updatable in-house, dynamic content covers their video and event work, as well as staff profiles and easy to follow directions.

"When we were looking for an agency to design our website, Frink stood out in many ways. Their understanding of our business and our brief stood out but, more than that, their understanding of the web and the way in which it works. Their ideas have not only given us a fantastic brand new website but will transform the way in which we use the web to promote our business in the future. They have given us an outstanding product and working with them has been a complete pleasure from start to finish."

Clarion Communications is an award winning trade and consumer PR agency. Following an internal brand reappraisal it was decided that a new identity was required to bring their 'something new' proposition to life. We designed a contemporary new logo - based on their joined-up thinking approach to business - and introduced a series of abstract brand images which help to convey the personality of their young team. This has been rolled out across stationery, marketing materials, signage and a bold new website which is helping them to grab some headlines of their own.

Our long-running relationship with Financial News recently led to a series of rebranded house adverts. A bold colour-coded approach helped define their wide-ranging product offering, whilst the use of abstract fibre optic photography helped position them on the leading edge of financial publishing. Adverts were designed to appear in a series of house titles - as well as the wider trade press - and a series of animated banners featured throughout the Financial News family of websites.

"Financial News have worked with Frink on several projects over the last few years, and have been delighted with the results, both in terms of productivity and the finished work. We would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Frink to others, in fact I have already."
Kellie Mason, Marketing Manager, Financial News

The Sport Action Zone co-ordinates a wide range of sport and physical activity programmes within South London. Their 'Action in the Community' approach forges links between a number of high-profile partners and grass roots schemes, increasing participation, social inclusion and community cohesion. We designed a website which enables them to promote their work to two contrasting audiences - the communities they target and the programme partners and funders they rely on. As well as strategic overviews, news and background information we developed a YouTube channel alongside the main site which encourages viewers to watch a series of short - but high profile - case studies.

"Frink have been a dream to work with. They offered creative but practical ways of promoting our key messages to our target audiences online. They are highly organised, proactive and professional. It’s great to be able to update the site in-house with minimum fuss. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to others."
Charlotte Isaacs, Programme Manager, The Sport Action Zone

Lodestar create 'intelligent events' that help their high-profile clients communicate more effectively. We designed an identity for them that reflects their modern, dynamic approach and helped position them as leaders within their field. The logo and branding framework were also used as the starting point for their website, which utilises long exposure fairground photography to give a sense of their bold approach.

The South Bank Employers' Group needed their website to be strongly branded, clearly organised and easily accessible. They represent a range of organisations across London's South Bank and the site had to appeal to a broad audience. A strong colour coding system and use of images of the area enabled us to clearly define their messages, whilst the content is easily updated as the site progresses.

Producers of forthcoming film Havana or Bust knew they wanted a bold identity and attention grabbing image from the start. The graphics reflect the film's twin themes of Cuba and 1960s Britain and have been applied to all aspects of the film's production, which will culminate in both titles and marketing campaign.

“Our initial ideas and conversations were quickly turned into a series of powerful images that captured the mood of the film perfectly. The subsequent logo and branding work proved invaluable when pitching and we look forward to working with the team at Frink as the project – hopefully – escalates.”
Bill Northdale, Producer, Havana or Bust
